ical Engineer**, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of air-insulated high-voltage disconnectors, with a primary focus on the structural and mechanical components of the product.
You will work closely with R&D Project Managers, supporting both new product introduction (NPI) and cost-out initiatives, ensuring robust, optimized, and reliable mechanical solutions.
Product Development & Validation
Support R&D Project Managers in product development and validation activities.
Produce and manage 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
Investigate alternative materials and explore innovative manufacturing technologies.
Perform mechanical validation of main disconnector components, including calculations and FEM structural analysis.
Conduct cost analyses and propose manufacturing optimization improvements.
Testing & Certification:
Participate in type test witnessing - both in internal accredited laboratories and external global facilities.
Prepare test procedures, test instructions, and technical documentation.
Support the emission of type test dossiers for internal or external stakeholders.
Perform risk assessments, including FMEA analysis.
Support to R&D Operations:
Contribute to daily coordination of R&D activities in collaboration with the R&D Leader.
Ensure effective communication with internal teams: R&D, Standardization, Laboratory, Engineering, and Sales.
Engage with external stakeholders: customers and accredited laboratories.
PROFILE:
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in mechanical engineering or within an R&D department.
Knowledge and practical experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
Basic understanding of FEM analysis.
Good command of English (written and spoken).
Understanding of manufacturing processes and production technologies.
