Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (technical training or certifications are preferred)
Minimum 6 years of Field Services, or hands on experience (mechanical technician, fabricator, mechanic, aircraft technicians, etc.).
Eligibility Requirements
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time as required.
Ability and willingness to climb wind turbines and work at heights.
Ability and willingness to support physical necessity of shop-work (i.e., handling rigging, visual inspection, etc.)
Ability and willingness to operate heavy equipment
Desired Characteristics
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or equivalent) or other technical discipline from an accredited university or college
Mechanical knowledge, electrical aptitude and ability to read schematics
Wind turbine knowledge
Familiarity with and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
Familiarity with rapid prototyping equipment - 3D printers, Laser Cutters, wood routers, etc.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment - mills, lathes, welders, plasma cutters, CNC machines, etc.
Familiarity with how to program and maintain manufacturing equipment.
Electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic power tool experience & knowledge.
Familiarity with and ability to identify and setup rigging for lifting operations up to 200t.
Familiarity with and ability to operate multiple crane types up to 200t.
Familiarity with basic Engineering principles
Desire to experiment and prototype new solutions
Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills with simple, creative solutions
Ability and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision.
Ability and willingness to read, interpret technical drawing, manuals, procedures, and regulations.
PC proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Proven record of being team oriented and results driven.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a wide variety of organizations and individuals in global locations.
Ability and willingness to challenge status quo, without allegiance to past or current practices and technology, to get to the best GE products.

For candidates applying to this U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 USD Annually.
