and methods engineer for Services Projects has overall responsibility to develop and maintain structured product solutions for use by global functional engineers responsible to deliver controls systems for our customers. This includes developing and maintaining nuclear and fossil steam turbine application software standards, collaborating with mechanical and packaged systems engineers for packaging of digital electronic control system panels and mechanical control system components used on nuclear and fossil steam turbines used in power plant systems. Also, close collaboration with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and cyber security engineers is necessary to ensure overall systems level product design. The overall goal of this role is to establish and maintain product standards for aftermarket control systems and ensure the global engineering team is equipped to use these products effecitvely to execute control system conversions, modifications, and upgrade projects around the globe.
Apply long experience to provide technical direction to less experienced engineers and mentor new engineers
Perform as reviewing engineer to provide technical guidance and approval of less experienced engineers' work
Apply experience to innovate effective product solutions to support business needs
High experience developing first of kind and highly customized technical solutions
Expert knowledge of nuclear and fossil steam turbine control application software practices and steam turbine operations
Expert at creation and maintenance of product application software standards and methods documentation for use by the global engineering organization
Provide effective customer support related to products
Provide expert technical sales support for generation of customer proposals
Develop product test specification procedures, product technical manuals, and training courses targeted towards other technical personnel
Develop instructions for product installation and commissioning for field services
Ensure compliance with internal and industry technical regulations, standards, and other regulatory requirements
High experience interacting with customers and suppliers required
Drive overall architecture, top level design, verification, validation, and commissioning requirements to be used by global functional engineers
Ensure adequate system safety, function, performance, interface, reliability, and maintainability requirements are met
Drive consistent solutions across all controls scope
Collaborate with and maintain close, responsive, and productive working relationships with internal and external customers
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering
Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in steam turbine controls
Strong understanding of steam and power plant control systems operation
Proven strong interpersonal and leadership skills

High engineering experience in nuclear and fossil steam turbine auxiliary equipment and applications
Expert in applying engineering principles to analyze, design and troubleshoot turbine control systems associated with control system retrofits for nuclear and fossil steam turbines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented and able to complete tasks on schedule
Expert in proactively identifying and resolving technical issues
High experience in review of contracting documentation and customer specifications, with experience creating equipment specifications and detailed design documentation for the development of appropriate product solutions
Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
High experience with use of GE Vernova proprietary Mark VIe ControlST and Cimplicity Human Machine Interface (HMI) control software
Field engineering experience with steam turbine controls applications a strong plus
Experience with proposal generation and market level pricing for turbine retrofit opportunities
High experience working with manufacturing and test personnel
Knowledge of steam turbine machinery design and operations
Proficiency in the following additional software applications / platforms:
Nuclear power generation controls or plant operational experience
Strong experience in power generation projects, working with customers, project management, and/or EPCs
Proven oral and written communication and presentation skills to technical teams and business leaders
Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
Master's degree in a technical discipline

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $124,500.00 and $207,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
