Supplier Quality Engineer -Generator components

• Monitor the performance of suppliers in the region and closely work with them to continuously improve the quality of supply chain in the region.

• Coordinate closely with supply chain and operations team and manage timely onboarding and qualification of suppliers in the region.

• Perform review of supplier's documents such as Manufacturing Process Plan (MPP), NDT procedures, NDT (UT) Scan plan, WPS/PQR. Also perform review of supplier's Quality documents (internal reports) with respect to GE drawings and technical specifications.

• Perform inspection witness of raw- material testing in lab such as Tensile test, impact test, micro-structure etc.

• Prepare Inspection report and maintain documentation for inspections performed.

• Prepare Non-Conformance Reports, and able to perform Root Cause Analysis for the quality issues

• Perform joint witness with GE's customers as per Quality Plan.

• Co-ordinate with external Suppliers, Project Quality manager, GE's customer and other GE stakeholders like Sourcing, Engineering and Project management.

• Support the GEV warehouse team in warehouse management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• B.E.- Mechanical engineering with minimum 12 years' experience. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 15 years' experience.

• Must have valid NDT Level II in UT, PT, MT.

• Good Inspection experience with variety of Generator components (forged, machined, fabricated etc.). Also having exposure to inspection of Turbine components.

• Ability to use metrology instruments to accurately perform inspections (with tolerances in microns) that include but not limited to Faro Arm, CMM, micrometers, etc.

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes involved in the production of the intended assigned equipment (e.g. casting, forging, machining, assembly, NDT, as applicable).

• Experience in reading and interpreting Engineering drawings, Codes, specifications to verify that products are following the requirements set forth in these documents.

• Extensive out-station travel to supplier's place will be required to perform the inspections.
