Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Own the engineering execution of generator upgrades from contract signature to the completion of GE's contractual obligations.
Manage a cross-functional engineering team.
Provide technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and GE's internal engineering teams.
Review customer specifications and communicate project requirements to all design functions using internal documentation systems.
Evaluate the financial and schedule impact of customer-requested scope changes.
Provide technical support to engineering, sourcing, vendors, and installation teams to ensure equipment meets all customer requirements and business objectives.
Enforce quality procedures and participate in their improvement.
Ensure risk management tracking, implement risk mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, plus 8+ years of experience in Generator Engineering, Power Generation Operation, or Generator-related activities; or a High School Diploma / GED and 10+ years of relevant Generator work experience.
Site, manufacturing or design experience with generators.
Project management experience in complex engineering projects.
Background in continuous improvement, developing methods, tools, and processes.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
