Wind Service Apprentice

Excellent communication skills are required, along with the ability to accurately follow work process instructions. You will have a keen sense of achievement and take pride in the work you undertake and produce. The ability to work efficiently within a team is essential.

You will

• Adhere to GE health & safety policy and safe working practices.

• Be happy working at heights and in remote challenging environments.

• Be highly self-motivated, be able to work in a small team and independently.

• Have good problem-solving abilities, able to think on your feet.

• Have basic PC knowledge of networking and communication.

• Be working to targets and deadlines.

• Be undertaking your qualification mostly on windfarms

• Be working with your team in the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications/Requirements :

• National 5 Grades (or Equivalent) in English, Maths and a Science subject, or equivalent knowledge or experience

• Able to work at heights

• Team player, cooperative, interested in further personal and career development

• Confident personality

• High degree of flexibility, highly motivated with the ability to work under pressure

• Prepared to travel throughout the UK.

• A full UK driving license is essential.

• Performing Engineering Operations (POE) is advantageous but not essential

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join GE Renewable Energy in the UK on a Modern Apprenticeship Programme within the operations and maintenance organisation. On completion of the programme, successful candidates will have completed a Modern Apprenticeship, gaining an SVQ at SCQF level 6.
