Technical Program Manager, Global Networking Technology

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You are equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cross-functional projects that include large software components for managing Google's Global network.
• Align team members and stakeholders, communicate and keep stakeholders appraised of progress through periodic updates and checkpoints such as engineering reviews.
• Use technical judgment to motivate project delivery, technology reviews, guide technical proposals and build consensus among cross-functional teams.
• Set project success criteria, create measurable milestones, track deliverables and deliver customer value incrementally. Measure, analyze and optimize constantly to velocity, quality and efficiency of projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements, and help program teams scale. Work on Google's ability to deliver network capacity on-time, with availability while achieving maximum efficiency.
