As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

    As a Technical Program Manager in Enterprise Network Engineering, you will collaborate with the Enterprise Network team to maintain security, reliability, scalability, and automation. You will set priorities on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to drive network product development and life-cycle decisions. You will collaborate with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure new solutions align with operational needs, reduce technical debt, and eliminate inefficiencies in design and deployment. You will play a role in resolving challenges related to efficient scaling, security, and availability.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct and facilitate the development and delivery of enterprise network engineering products through the strategic utilization of automation and software programs.

    • Collaborate with global delivery teams across the organization to ensure the efficient provision of network services to customers.

    • Manage third-party vendors contracted for the monitoring and troubleshooting of network services, support the escalation of issues requiring engineering assistance with the vendors.

    • Design and implement new delivery processes, enact process improvement measures, and ensure the efficient and reliable achievement of process objectives.

    • Optimize operational processes essential for maintaining business operations, identify opportunities for root cause analysis of defects, establish baseline Key Performance Indicator (KPIs)/Metrics, and leverage data to prioritize efforts.
