[Summary]

We are hiring a few highly motivated student interns to innovate compiler and runtime techniques for AI accelerators, or to make a distributed AI infrastructure high performant, sustainable, and secure for AI workloads such as training and inferencing with large language models and other emerging AI models.

[Job]

Research and development on a compiler and runtime for AI accelerators, namely IBM AIU/Spyre and its follow-on chips, a distributed AI infrastructure (Kubernetes or OpenShift), or Confidential Computing for AI workloads.

Period：3 to 6 months, negotiable, within the period of January 2026 to December 2026

Time：9:00～17:36 (default)

Reduced working hours can be negotiated.

Place: IBM Hakozaki Office

Daily Salary:

18,000yen (for master's)／20,000yen (for doctoral students)(in case housing allowance is unnecessary)

24,000yen (for master's)／26,000yen (for doctoral students)(including housing allowance)

Daily commuting cost will be paid. Transportation cost to come to Tokyo is not separately paid.
