    As an IBM Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern, you'll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic business challenge. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you'll get to touch a variety of areas within the business. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.

    Our CSR team leads IBM's global social impact initiatives and focuses on volunteerism, education, sustainability, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy and reporting. Our goal is to address some of the world's most pressing challenges while also generating long-term value for stakeholders. We are stewards for diversity and inclusion, education and skill development, sustainable best practices, and fostering strong relationships with the local communities where we operate. We enable IBM's mission to infuse corporate responsibility into our core strategy and positively influence society.

    As an intern supporting our SkillsBuild Student Developer Program team, you may:

    • Support the Global SkillsBuild Student Developer Community Manager to build, manage, and nurture communities related to academia in the USA including a community of student ambassadors who drive engagement within college campuses
    • Help select, communicate, onboard, and run community kick-off activities, in collaboration with the IBM US CSR Team.
    • Analyze engagement metrics and feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

    This role will be based in Raleigh, NC.

    IBM will not be providing Visa sponsorship for these positions now or in the future. Therefore, to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future Visa sponsorship.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited University

    • Available for an internship in Summer 2025

    • Rising senior for the 2025-2026 school year

    • Studying computer science, software development, or related technical field

    • Passionate about technology: AI, software development, or related

    • Fluent in English; written and verbal communication skills

    • Good interpersonal skills, comfortable leading and inspiring groups with different backgrounds and skills to enable collaboration and achieve goals

    • Basic project management skills

    • An interest in Corporate Social Responsibility, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, ESG, Sustainability, or related
