    Position summary

    post-service operations for new mainframe financial accounting system construction and system renewal projects.
    We listen to our clients' issues and needs, and propose appropriate solutions with our expertise and technical skills in IBM z software for mainframe systems consisting of zOS, zWAS, Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, IWS, NetView, etc., in cooperation with the global product development department. We will propose appropriate solutions in collaboration with the global product development department.

    This team supports the stable operation of customer systems with a focus on zOS, zWAS, Db2, IMS, and CICS, which make up the mainframe systems in Japan. We are looking for a new team member to join our team.
    You will be able to handle projects while collaborating with members who are involved in various SW products within the company (SEs in charge of customers, CEs, domestic and international development departments, etc.).
    You will be able to learn not only the product you are working on, but also the related cutting-edge technology and propose it to the customer.

    All IBMZ SW products (mainly zOS, zWAS, Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, IWS, NetView, etc.)
    Client Industry: Financial Industry (Banking related) JPJOBS24

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Ability to build interpersonal relationships and communicate with customers.
    • Basic knowledge of all mainframe infrastructure including zOS, zWAS, Db2, IMS, CICS, MQ, IWS, NetView, etc.
    • Experience in proposing and building solutions for mainframe systems

    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
    • Experience in developing simple business applications
    • Japanese language skills equivalent to native Japanese speaker, as communication with Japanese customers is a prerequisite for face-to-face or remote communication
    • Reading/Hearing skills to understand English technical documents and participate in training
    • English communication skills (email, conference calls)
