In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Als Infrastructure Specialist - Public Sector bist du verantwortlich für die Implementierung, den Betrieb und die Weiterentwicklung skalierbarer Infrastruktur‑Lösungen auf Basis von Red Hat OpenShift sowie Linux‑, Windows‑ und VMware‑Technologien. Du stellst sicher, dass Plattformen zuverlässig, performant und sicher betrieben werden und den Anforderungen öffentlicher Auftraggeber entsprechen. Zu deinen Aufgaben gehören unter anderem:

• Aufbau, Konfiguration und Betrieb von Red Hat OpenShift‑Clustern, einschließlich OpenShift Container Platform, OpenShift Virtualization und Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM)

• Einrichtung und Verwaltung von Speicherlösungen, Netzwerkkomponenten und Datenbanken zur Unterstützung von Anwendungen

• Betrieb und Weiterentwicklung von Linux‑, Windows‑ und VMware‑basierten Serverumgebungen

• Sicherstellung von Skalierbarkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit der gesamten Infrastruktur

• Umsetzung bestehender Architektur‑ und Designvorgaben und Erstellung technischer Betriebs‑ und Integrationskonzepte

• Planung und Betrieb von On‑Premises‑Umgebungen im Public Sector

• Zusammenarbeit mit Architektur‑, Security‑ und Entwicklungsteams zur Integration neuer Anwendungen und Dienste

• Analyse technischer Anforderungen und Ableitung entsprechender Infrastruktur‑Designs

• Dokumentation, Monitoring und kontinuierliche Optimierung der Betriebsumgebungen

Required technical and professional expertise

• Fundierte Grundlagen in Virtualisierung, Cloud‑ und Containertechnologien sowie im Betrieb von Serverbetriebssystemen

• Umfangreiche Erfahrung mit Red Hat OpenShift

• Solide Kenntnisse in Linux‑, Windows‑ und VMware‑Technologien

• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse (C1‑Niveau)

• Bereitschaft zu Sicherheitsüberprüfung ist erforderlich

• Einblicke in öffentliche bzw. behördliche Strukturen

• Kenntnisse in Server‑ und Netzwerkhardware, Speichersystemen und Netzwerkdesign

• Erfahrung in der Beschreibung von IT‑Architekturen im Bereich Infrastruktur und Integration

• Erfahrung in der Planung und dem Betrieb von On‑Premises‑Systemen

• Kenntnisse in Hybrid‑Cloud‑ und Multi‑Cluster‑Management‑Konzepten

• Erfahrung mit Automatisierungslösungen wie Ansible oder PowerShell

• Kenntnisse in Sicherheits‑ und Compliance‑Anforderungen der öffentlichen Verwaltung

• Erfahrung in Client‑Facing‑Rollen und im Umgang mit technisch komplexen Stakeholderanforderungen

• Erfahrung in Performance‑Analyse, Monitoring‑Konzepten und Kapazitätsplanung

• Kenntnisse in der Integration von Plattformen in bestehende Netzwerk‑ und Security‑Architekturen
