Senior Transformation Consultant (SAP BTM)

S/4HANA transformation through a data-driven assessment of their existing SAP landscape, identifying optimization opportunities and guiding the transition to an optimal future-state operating model and the architecture, with an S/4HANA transition roadmap, and associated business case, to facilitate start of a structured, efficient, and value-driven transformation journey.

Your role and responsibilities

o Provide support in early assessment and end to end delivery for enterprise-wide SAP programs.
o Provide valuable SAP expertise and share insights from similar IBM projects to support industry and account teams to scope and deliver a transformation discovery phase
o Develop a good understanding of IBM's Rapid Discovery Framework to increase use cases in delivery of objectives, incorporating value-add activities aligned to our customers' priorities.
o Leveraging SAP Signavio, LeanIX, and WalkMe to enable end-to-end visibility, governance, and adoption of transformation programs
o Guide organizations in designing, executing, and sustaining business transformation programs that unlock measurable value.
o Analyze current business process & configuration with S/4HANA impact and identify potential improvements with S/4HANA solution capabilities, including in areas of automation, user experience.
o Define priorities and confirm the functional scope of any future SAP transformation journey.
o Assess and define the integration impact by moving to SAP S/4HANA and external systems
o Evaluate and manage risks associated with the Discovery phase and future migration, ensuring timely decision-making and mitigation strategies.
o Develop joint governance and team alignment to drive value and execution clarity throughout an S/4HANA scoping engagement
o Contribute to development of strategic roadmaps, including implementation and deployment strategies, timelines, milestones, and deliverables, in the area of their expertise.
o Collaborate with key business and IT stakeholders to align on process gaps, harmonization opportunities, and industry best practices.
o Lead executive alignment interviews to capture strategic imperatives, business performance, and improvement opportunities.

Required technical and professional expertise

o Proven track record in managing medium to large-scale transformation strategies and programs.
o 12+ years of SAP program and project delivery across ECC and S/4HANA
o 8+ year of management/ business consulting experience
o Comprehensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and experience with complex SAP environments and cloud deployments.
o Successful track record of early stages of any SAP enabled transformation journeys, from early current state analysis to involvement in definition of future state business process design, SAP capability mapping and contributing to associated business case development.
o Good project management skills, with the ability to manage workstreams and stakeholders.
o Strong understanding of change management
o Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data quality, completeness, and system interdependencies.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and align executive leadership and stakeholders.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
o Demonstrated success in aligning SAP initiatives with enterprise goals and ensuring business readiness and organizational change initiatives to maximize adoption and long-term value realization.
o Ability to leverage SAP Signavio to enable end-to-end visibility, governance, and adoption of transformation programs.
o Hands-on experience with SAP Signavio Business Process Transformation Suite (process mining, modeling, governance, and optimization).
o Strong facilitation skills to run process discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and adoption planning sessions.
o Ability to integrate Signavio, LeanIX, and WalkMe insights into a BTM framework for transformation governance and execution.
o SAP certifications or training in Signavio and S/4HANA transformation programs.
o Experience designing and governing transformation roadmaps with BTM tools as the foundation.
o Familiarity with process excellence methodologies (e.g., BPM, Six Sigma)
o SAP Expert Level Process Knowledge: Holder of multiple SAP certifications and expert in multiple SAP modules and the ability to integrate them to provide end-to-end solutions, with strong experience with processes and workflows.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Proven experience in participating multi-vendor, global delivery models involving system integrators, strategic partners, niche providers, and distributed internal teams.
• Experience in business case development, including financial analysis and ROI calculations.
• Executive-level stakeholder management experience across board, CIO, and CFO levels.
• Strong understanding of industry-specific SAP processes across manufacturing, retail, utilities, and pharmaceuticals.
• Familiarity with Agile/Hybrid delivery models for large-scale ERP transformations.
• Certification in SAP S/4HANA or related SAP modules is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
• Prior consulting experience with large-scale SAP transformations, ideally in a global environment.
• Experience integrating Signavio process insights with LeanIX architecture views for holistic transformation planning.
• Strong understanding of organizational change management, digital adoption strategies, and business value realization.
• Knowledge of cloud, AI, and automation technologies and how they complement SAP transformation journeys
