Guides the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices
Responsible for removing impediments to progress and guiding the team to remove impediments
Facilitates completion of tasks and goals without using coercion, assigning, or dictating tasks
Leads discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution
Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Provides support to the Product Owner with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
Provides team support by utilizing a servant leadership style and leading by example
Makes sure Team adheres to the defined Agile process and look for opportunity to improve it
Make sure definition of done is achieved before closing any work item
Assess delivery risk and raise It to management
Attend scrum of scrums, and share ideas with other Scrum masters
Understand current Agile maturity model and help moving it forward
What you'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree
First level Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM I)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team that utilized Scrum principals, practices, and theory.
Minimum of 8 years' overall IT experience
Experience in the transformation an organization from legacy SDLC/waterfall to Agile is a plus
What would be nice for you to have:
Has broad expertise or unique knowledge and contributes to company objectives as a subject matter expert (SME). Works on highly complex and diverse projects. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
Excellent knowledge of well documented patterns and techniques for filling intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
Excellent knowledge of Agile approaches including Scrum and Kanban.
Proven experience with Agile techniques including User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing.
Previous experience acting as a team lead.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar agile delivery management tool
Excellent knowledge on software development life cycle
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Experience in working with distributed Team members spread across multiple locations and time zones
