Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in preliminary deal screening for secured loan opportunities, performing a variety of credit analysis.

• Conduct market analysis and create underwriting/screening materials.

• Understand and apply credit and regulatory policies.

• Work with deal team to size and structure loans to mitigate risks and liabilities.

• Prepare underwriting and investment committee memorandums.

• Work with numerous internal teams to facilitate loan closings.

• Monitor loan and portfolio performance post-closing, including identifying and escalating issues.

• Communicate with clients on loan deliverables.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills::

• Strong analytical and business writing skills

• Good interpersonal skills with internal partners, counsel, clients and senior management.

• Accounting and finance knowledge, as well as knowledge of real estate fundamentals and concepts

• Completion of a major corporate banking credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• 1-2 years of commercial banking/lending experience

• Experience in commercial real estate credit is strongly preferred

• A BS/BA degree (Business, Finance & Accounting preferred; all majors considered

• Knowledge of JPMC or similar bank policies and procedures preferred

• Experience with cash flow modeling and financial statement analysis is preferred
