Collaborate with lines of business to support new business initiatives by the assessment of local and US applicable regulation
Coordinate the Business Plan and ICAAP annual exercises for the Argentinean Central Bank (BCRA)
Monitor Financial Ratios required by BCRA such us Solvency & Liquidity and supervise the daily limit monitoring and monthly reporting to BCRA
Provide guidance on BCRA regulations: Capital related (Minimum Capital Requirements, Leverage Ratio, Interest Rate Risk on Banking Book, Fixed Asset, Dividend Distributions); Liquidity (Reserves Requirements); Credit (Large Exposures, Public Sector Financing Limit, Credit Policy); Other (FX Position, Capital Controls)
Accountable for the integrity of the local and US books and records of the legal entity. Oversight of month-end accounting closure process and presentation of Financial Statements to the Senior Country Officer and Service Center's lead
Point of contact for local regulators and external audit team
Participation in local committees (Risk, ALCO, Controls, Local Operating Committee)
Qualifications
Public accountant or bachelor degree in Business Administration (with accounting background).
Team management experience (team builder)
Proficiency in leveraging new technologies, such as AI, to enhance productivity and drive innovation
Working for Financial Institutions or External Audit Firms
Fluid in English
Knowledge on SAP is a plus
Knowledge of Excel, word and PowerPoint (advanced)
Skills Preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills to enable effective interaction with client groups
Ability to function in a time sensitive role with strict deadlines
Product and business knowledge to support local businesses
Ability to understand system flows, procedures etc.
Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment
