Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Shape and execute a comprehensive roadmap for migrating and converging heritage data platforms into a unified, strategic data ecosystem.
Partner with senior executives to align data initiatives with the broader Investment Banking strategy and business objectives.
Champion the adoption of modern data products, governance, and management practices.
Data Governance & Management
Ensure robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to achieve data quality, compliance, and security.
Oversee data stewardship, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all platforms.
Advance data cataloging, validation, and protection initiatives to support regulatory and business needs.
Platform Convergence & Integration
Manage the end-to-end integration of legacy and strategic data platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless data flow.
Collaborate with technology and architecture teams to deliver innovative solutions for data onboarding, transformation, and entitlement.
Data Acquisition & Enablement
Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-value third-party and internal data sources critical to Investment Banking.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand evolving data needs and deliver timely, actionable data assets.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Mentor and develop talent, providing strategic guidance and growth opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into clear business value.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful data solutions and insights.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in digital product development, data asset management, and/or data product development within financial services.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale data platform migrations or convergence initiatives.
Deep expertise in Investment Banking data domains, including data asset definition, transformation, onboarding, and entitlement.
Strong command of data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
In-depth Investment Banking domain knowledge and experience with Investment Banking data assets.
Practical experience leveraging cloud data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) in an enterprise setting.
