This role will give you the chance to interact with a variety of stakeholders across the Lending business and the broader Finance and Business Management organization.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure integrity of the balance sheet and income statement for the business
Provide insightful analysis and commentary on the financials to the Global Banking Finance and Business Management organization as well as senior management
Partner with the Lending business to provide business advisory and accounting support
Continuously drive improvement and efficiencies in what we do leveraging automation and data analysis tools such as Alteryx, large language models (LLM), and Tableau
Produce ad hoc reporting and recurring deliverables to meet team and stakeholder needs
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, legal entity controls, and regulatory requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA or equivalent professional credential; or working towards
Demonstrated experience in leveraging automation and data analysis tools improve processes, reporting, and controls
Experience working with large data sets
At least 2 years of previous experience as a Controller or auditor at a large public accounting firm
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including a strong control focus
Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
Schedule flexibility to meet deadlines and work flexible hours as required, including working certain weekends during quarter-end close
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
Previous banking or other financial services industry experience
Knowledge of lending products
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA or equivalent professional credential; or working towards
Demonstrated experience in leveraging automation and data analysis tools improve processes, reporting, and controls
Previous experience managing teams
Experience working with large data sets
At least 6 years of previous experience as a Controller or auditor at a large public accounting firm
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including a strong control focus
Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
Schedule flexibility to meet deadlines and work flexible hours as required, including working certain weekends during quarter-end close
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
