Job responsibilities:
Support instrument reference data and ensure consistent delivery of quality data in a timely fashion
Manage corporate action events handling with regards to instrument reference data across all asset classes, understand the impact of market events on the instrument static data and the related corporate action events triggering out of it
Provide subject matter expertise support to downstream teams and clients
Ensure proper controls are in place to reduce financial risks, implement procedures to enforce controls and ensure controls are adhered to
Partner and collaborate with other regions is required
Resolve client queries promptly and professionally
Contribute to ongoing developments and refinements of our operational processes
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Science, Technology or equivalent
At least 1 year of work experience is required
Strong market data vendor knowledge and experience, i.e. Bloomberg, Refinitiv
Knowledge of industry activities, corporate actions, index tracking and capital markets
Inquisitive and analytical mindset, challenges the status quo, strive for excellence, while paying attention to risk involved
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively within a team and across departments
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details to formulate effective solutions to address pain points and improve efficiency
As the team covers the Asia Pacific region, staggered shift work and working on public holidays is required
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Ability to analyze, mine and query data to formulate solutions and efficiencies is preferred
Prior experience in Financial Services industry will be beneficial
Experience in digital tools like Alteryx, JIRA, and/or Confluence will be preferred
Good understanding of data management principles for financial services - governance, quality, storage, modelling
