    Position summary

    eading impactful accounting work** that contributes directly to business decisions.

    Responsibilities

    • Monthly and annual closing operations
      (including financial analysis, reporting, and various review processes)

    • Determining accounting treatments for various business activities and building accounting processes

    • Providing accounting advice to internal departments such as:
      Sales, Planning, Finance, and Pricing

    • Responding to various audits, including tax audits, internal audits, and external audits

    • Communicating and reporting in English with the US headquarters

    At Kyndryl Japan's Accounting Department, you'll go beyond basic bookkeeping.
    By working closely with the US headquarters and global accounting centers, you'll gain hands-on experience in high-impact accounting operations that are rarely available elsewhere.
    This role offers a valuable opportunity to enhance both your technical expertise and communication skills through real-world practice.

    Location: Makuhari Office
    1-1 Nakase, Mihama-ku, Chiba-shi, Chiba 261-8511, Japan
    Primarily remote work, with occasional visits to the Makuhari office or Tokyo HQ (Roppongi Hills)

    Who You Are

    Requirements (MUST)

    • Bachelor's degree or higher

    • Experience in accounting, management accounting, or working at an audit firm

    • Strong English communication skills (TOEIC score of 700 or above is a helpful benchmark)

    Preferred Qualifications (WANT)**

    • Practical experience using English in a business setting

    • Certifications such as CPA (Japan), Tax Accountant, USCPA, or Level 1 Bookkeeping

    • Experience in cross-border accounting operations or working with IFRS

    • Comfortable working in a primarily remote environment

    • Willingness to commute to the Makuhari office or Tokyo headquarters (Roppongi Hills) approximately once a month
