Required Skills and Experience
12+ years of experience in operational management, including applying SRE best practices to incident management and escalations.
Should possess a strong hands-on experience of various infrastructure technologies, including virtualisation, containerisation and cloud computing.
Should have experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins etc.)
Should be well-versed in networking principles and protocols and demonstrate skills around designing and configuring the platform's networking infrastructure.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python / Java / NodeJS /JSON, YAML, Bash / PowerShell along with a solid understanding of IDP's such as Backstage / ServiceNow etc...
Experience implementing strategies to cap operations load and to handle overflow using appropriate tooling and metrics; defining service level indicators and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders, business, development, DevSecOps and Operations teams.
Solution and design experience in an enterprise environment: Windows server, Linux server (RHEL is preferred), UNIX (AIX, Solaris), • Windows server, storage, and Hyperscaler Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform); public cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift, Azure or GCP
Hands-on experience across a broad range of Cloud services on AWS / Azure / GCP services.
Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other highly technical, scientific discipline
Experience with distributed technologies as well as dynamic resource management frameworks such as Kubernetes
Expertise in leveraging open-source tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki
