Required Technical and Professional Experience

• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in Mainframe Operations
• Manage production operating system resource availability
• Monitor production operating system, and devices
• Perform root cause analysis, resolution and / or escalation for production systems (this does not include business applications)
• Execute recovery procedures for production operating systems and devices
• Perform automated startup and shutdown of the production operating system
• Execute production subsystem (e.g. IMS, CICS, DB2, IDMS) started tasks restarts
• Should have CA7 and Control M Tool knowledge
• Monitor scheduled batch jobs

• Resolve batch scheduling conflicts (non-application) (root cause analysis and change management)

• Expertise in emergency and batch critical IPLs , and proven ability in executing standalone dumps through GDPS and HMC

• Proven track record of successfully executing high-complexity projects, such as z-series tech refreshes (z14, z15, z16), IBM Box Migrations, and Continuity of Business (COB) /Disaster Recovery testing."

• Expertise in System Automation and Af/Oper, proven ability in performing recycle,start,stop and move application and application groups.

• Proven ability in IPLing z/VM , z/TPF and z/LinuxOne systems.

• Highly skilled in providing operational support for complex technical changes on Hardware/DB2/MQ/CICS/Websphere and more.

• Coordinated mainframe operations team, ensuring 24x7 system availability.

• Coordinated and facilitated weekly change preparation meeting.

• Reviewed and identified potential conflicts between changes to avoid business impact

• Performed daily and weekly audits, identifying areas for improvement

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Check each system for outstanding messages and or batch abends on a regular basis.
• Scan batch output to find actual cause of failure.
• Able Identify task or issues that can be improved and send ticket to correct team.
• Able to determine quickly the severity of a problem and make appropriate escalations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and consistently with all levels of the organization, and to work independently without direct supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
