Description and Requirements

The HW (Hardware) Development Group is located in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, and develops personal computer products sold by NECPC.

Our main role includes system design of personal computers (mechanical/electrical/thermal/input/output system construction) and new technology development incorporating Intel/AMD, etc, architectures.

• Roles and responsibilities

◆Study and apply for the products CPU/Graphics/Audio, etc, device functions in personal computers

from improvement of user experience which is system performance/battery life, etc.

  • Advanced technology development (applying Intel/AMD, etc, technologies for the products)

  • Applying the software which controls operation (Firmware) for the products

  • Controlling the quality of software components (drivers) which enable communication between operating systems and devices, and applying them for the products

  • Other tasks related to new product development

• Key Interaction with:

  • Project Team from NECPC R&D members

  • Stake holders from NECPC functions. (Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Service & Support, etc.)

  • ODM (Original Design Manufacturing)

Experience & Skills - Must Have - essential

  • Hardware or software design/development experience related to electronic products

  • General knowledge related to hardware or software of

personal computers

  • Language skill (English, TOEIC 500 score or more)

Experience & Skills - Good to have - desirable

  • Design and development experience of Personal

computer hardware and software

  • Design and development experience of devices which is

used in Windows OS, such as personal computer

peripherals, etc.

  • Design and evaluation experience of devices, such as

graphics, audio, display, etc.

  • Knowledge of Intel/AMD CPU and graphics

  • Knowledge of Firmware and Driver

  • Knowledge of AI

  • Language skill (English, TOEIC 600 score or more)
