Description and Requirements

Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider group is hiring for a Storage Tool Engineer to work on-site in Morrisville, NC.

What You'll Do

  • Rack & cluster integration for archive storage products from design to delivery

  • Design and improvement of rack scale automation test software and process

  • Trouble shooting for HW and SW issue

  • Provide leadership and mentoring, and work within a collaborative team environment

  • Interact with the Engineering Manager, Team Lead, customer, site staff and attending regularly scheduled customer meetings.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

• Experience scripting in Bash, Perl, Python, or similar languages.

• 8+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the management and issue triage for IBM Diamondback Tape Library or similar products.

• Ability to triage and resolve complex storage issues and provide guidance to other engineers who are assigned tasks related to the problem investigation

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, including customer engagements, design/feedback, and update

• Knowledge of PCIe, NVMe or SAS/SATA

• Experience with schematic review

• Knowledge of UEFI/BMC

• Experience in Linux/Windows Operating systems

• Working knowledge of networking concepts and practices.

• Knowledge of or experience with hardware and software security practices.
