Tool Maker - Roll Form

o champion; the die repair process to achieve customer requirements, and the preventative maintenance of the equipment and fixtures.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform adjustments on the roll mills to maintain dimensional integrity.

• Perform repairs on dies, such as replace punches, and trims steels while maintaining proper clearances.

• Participate in continual improvement of quality methods, equipment performance, and product quality

• Assist in training and development of apprentices.

• Focus on zero defects such as burring on parts.

Who we are looking for

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.

• Journeyman preferred but not necessary with a minimum of 6 years of experience working as a Tool & Die Maker.

• Overhead Crane experience.

• Quality control and SPC knowledge.

• Ability to read and understand Tool and Die prints.

• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.

• Able to use Precision Measurement tools.

Your preferred qualifications

• Able to run all manual milling machines.

• Knowledge of Roll Forming systems preferred but not necessary.

• Able to set up Dies in presses.

• Some of the Tool room Machines are Knee Mills, Saws, Lathes, Surface Grinders, Drill Presses, Hilo, and Overhead Cranes.

• Precision Measuring Tools

• Able to perform shop math and trigonometry.

• Ability to make dimensional moves by using CAD data and/or CMM reports.
