    Position summary

    Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Services, maintains, and controls dimensional integrity of weld line tooling.

    • Able to operate a variety of machine tools (i.e. TIG/MIG /Stick Welders, lathes, milling machines, drill press etc.)

    • Verify conformance of machines or repaired tooling to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments.

    • Troubleshoot for problems during production.

    • Able to set up appropriate tools in the department.

    • Maintain tooling Quality STD's and Preventative/ Predictive Maintenance program to ensure compliance with QS9000 Requirements.

    Who we are looking for

    • Associate degree from two year college/technical school or 5 years equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Must have a minimum of 7 years' experience with assembly tooling with minimum 5 years of specializing with new assembly tool construction and robot tooling.

    • Hemming die or clinch tool experience is a must.

    • Metrology experience is required including exposure to and using master-buck tooling.

    • Various machines, such as drills, sanders, lathes, milling machines, CNCs, etc.

    • Different types of welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

    Your preferred qualifications

    • Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship program preferred.

    • Tool and Die Maker with related experience/familiar with assembly tooling work.

    • Good hand dexterity, mechanical skills, mathematical skills and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
