Overview
We're looking for an Application Support Engineer to help us support all our application products to keep availability, follow observability procedures, escalate findings to Development team and solve problem diving on code and tools used (Ruby, Jboss, containers, Cloudwatch, Grafana). Further, this engineer will involves using awesome agile practices, including cross-functional collaboration with infrastructure and QA teams, fast iteration cycles, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and writing well-tested code.
Job Description:
Develops, builds, maintains and tests assigned technologies, including associated software and hardware
Resolves problems of moderate scopes as they arise, and provides high-level technical assistance to development programmers and customers to ensure proper performances
Assists in implementation, supports configuration, and ensures standards, process, and procedures are in place
Supports compliance posture which includes escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
Drafts and reviews status reports and performs implementation and troubleshooting activities, updating project plans as required
Supports business and process improvement initiatives, proactively sharing ideas that may impact team performance
May manage smaller project/initiatives as an experienced individual contributor with specialized knowledge within assigned discipline
Support, implement and manage performance monitoring for our applications
Consult with product and engineering on the operational requirements of software solutions
Performs implementations to optimize platform performance, efficiency, and capacity
May guide others on implementation and troubleshooting activities.
Request proper authorizations to approve any manual transactions.
Verify operations and balances, confirm if any transactions need to be recorded in the Business Core.
Job Profile:
Demonstrated initiative in building relationships with colleagues from multiple areas (QA,Devops, Governance, Support, Operation)
3+ years of relevant exposure to development of design, technology, and process standards
3+ years exposure to working with teams that span multiple geographies and time zones
3+ years Experience in Ruby
2+ years of experience with AWS services
Experience with Cloudwatch, Grafana tools
Experience with optimizing database performance AWS RDS
