    Overview
    The Data Strategy and Management team is looking for a Program Manager, AI Governance to co-own Mastercard's enterprise-wide AI Governance program. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, AI Governance, in the office of the Chief Data Officer. The ideal candidate is passionate about Responsible Tech, collaborative and highly organized.

    Role
    In this exciting and responsible role, you will:

    • Manage and prioritize the initiatives and projects that sit under the AI Governance program's 4 major objectives of defining, ensuring, enabling and advancing Responsible AI.
    • Partner with AI Governance team members and stakeholders to ensure that the operational and program development workloads of the AI Governance program are well managed and reliably communicated.
    • Support planning, prioritization and implementation of new initiatives as they arise - such as regulatory compliance initiatives or exciting research and development partnerships.
    • Communicate clear and consistent progress updates to senior executives including Mastercard's Chief Data Officer and Chief Privacy Officer, sharing roadmaps and issuing escalations as necessary.
    • Identify opportunities to improve AI Governance processes, working alongside domain experts to standardize, automate and simplify workloads.
    • Realize your personal values alongside Mastercard's principles, by advancing a program that creates RAI standards, research, tools and capabilities, and by helping to ensure that all of Mastercard's built and bought AI is trustworthy - fair, effective and transparent.
    • Participate in the Responsible Tech community and help shape Mastercard's thinking on Responsible AI.

    All About You

    Ideally, you:
    Have experience managing enterprise programs, particularly related to data, analytics or AI.
    Have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication. You have an eye for detail.
    Have a knack for structural frame thinking - you see can see processes and systems in terms of their parts and dependencies, and can identify short paths to positive outcomes.
    Are highly organized; you manage your time and personal commitments well, are able to support your colleagues, and can oversee distributed processes to ensure quality.
    Possess the emotional intelligence, negotiation and influence skills required to effectively work with a diverse range of technical and business-focused partners.
    Have integrity; you mean what you say. This includes the having the ability to politely, firmly say "no" as required. Your decisions shape a high-performing program; you will collaborate and enable those around you to focus on delivering the essential.
    Are thoughtful; you like to learn, and you're excited by the opportunity to work with diverse, passionate and intelligent colleagues in a new and developing field.

    Pay Range

    O'Fallon, MO: $128,000 - $205,000

    In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
