    Overview

    The Cloud Commerce team is looking for a Lead Android developer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. Responsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software solutions. Defines requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes, and best practices

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the Android development team.
    • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
    • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
    • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
    • Manage project timelines and resources.
    • Mentor and guide junior developers to enhance their skills and career growth.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
    • Provide and facilitate timely feedback, coaching in the moment, and mentoring for staff at all levels
    • Emulate and drive Mastercard Way behaviors through their behavior, recognitions, coaching, and employee engagement

    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in Android development and team management.
    • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Java, and Kotlin.
    • Solid experience with Jetpack Compose for UI development.
    • Hands-on experience with Retrofit and OkHttp for API integration.
    • Knowledge of SSL Pinning and other security best practices for mobile apps.
    • Strong understanding of Android Services and their lifecycle.
    • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    Nice to Have:
    • Experience with Android Jetpack Libraries.
    • Familiarity in Hilt for dependency injection and clean architecture.
    • Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous programming.
