Overview
The Services Business Development team is seeking a Vice President to lead the Services Business Development function across the COVEC Cluster (Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador). This role is responsible for driving the strategy, structuring and closing Services opportunities, identifying and developing new business with clients and emerging segments, enabling market wide initiatives, and consolidating pipeline management at the cluster level. Additionally, the position will oversee the Services P&L for the cluster.
The successful candidate will cultivate long term client relationships focused on value creation, generate recurring and scalable revenue streams, and meaningfully contribute to Mastercard's growth agenda. We are looking for a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and analytically driven leader with strong business acumen, deep knowledge of the payments and cybersecurity landscape, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Services across the COVEC Cluster, driving scalable business development with a strong client facing presence.
• Coordinate closely with Services Product and Delivery teams to ensure seamless go to market execution.
• Provide strategic input to inform long term growth initiatives and scale the Services business across the cluster.
• Lead and manage the cluster level P&L for Services.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support new Services opportunities.
• Coach and enable Services Business Leads (SBLs) to expand Service Sales Offerings (SSO) within their client portfolios.
• Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating Mastercard's core values.
• Oversee day to day business activities to ensure alignment with company objectives and performance targets.
• Maintain a customer centric perspective by proactively identifying client needs and market opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to uncover new avenues for growth.
About You
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and structured selling methodology.
• Proven experience in market analysis, strategic planning, and commercial strategy development.
• Demonstrated sales acumen and financial literacy.
• Strong customer insights and relationship building skills.
• High degree of self motivation, resilience, and ownership.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Exceptional written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to represent Mastercard at industry events and deliver presentations confidently in both languages.
• Natural ability to identify, pursue, and convert business opportunities.
