    Position summary

    ay a key role in shaping the architecture and direction of our backend services. You'll lead by example - designing, coding, and guiding the team through complex technical challenges - while working closely with product managers, developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders.


    Responsibilities
    • Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services using Node.js, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
    • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to define technical requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
    • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
    • Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
    • Oversee containerized deployments using Kubernetes (K8s), and manage infrastructure components like Redis, OpenSearch, and AWS services (S3, CDN).
    • Champion observability and performance monitoring using tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
    • Contribute to documentation, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.


    Qualifications
    • 6+ years of backend development experience, with deep expertise in Node.js and JavaScript.
    • Proven experience leading technical projects or initiatives in a production environment.
    • Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
    • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Redis, OpenSearch, and AWS.
    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
    • B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
    • Big advantage: Experience implementing JavaScript-based scripts in browsers, with a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and impact on client-side behavior.
