of Account Management, 3PL**. This is a newly created position to manage our expanding Cell & Gene Business Unit. This role will directly lead our current 3PL, Cell & Gene Account Team, indirectly lead other supporting 3PL team members, and work cross functionally with McKesson's, Cell & Gene, Center of Excellence.
The Director of Account Management will evaluate the Cell & Gene market to ensure the McKesson 3PL offering is meeting market needs, while anticipating and developing future products and solutions. The Director will be responsible for the success of current accounts, renewals, contracting, pricing and represent 3PL in securing new business. This role works across multiple value streams and business units, levering all of McKesson's resources to scale the operation, while optimizing the client and patient experience.
This is a fully remote position requiring travel up to 20%
Director, Account Management (Cell & Gene) Job Description:
Key Functions & Responsibilities:
Lead and provide direction to the Account Team, fostering a high-touch relationship with clients and customers.
Drive the execution and success of our Cell & Gene and 3PL Business Unit. - Recommend products and services that meet market demands and optimize our offering.
Own and develop subject matter expertise in advanced therapies (Cell & Gene).
Demonstrate strong financial acuity, managing P&L responsibilities.
Develop and implement strategies to meet growth objectives.
Stay informed about new technical applications, products, programs, and services to improve our market offering.
Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and exceed business objectives. -
Optimize and standardize business processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Utilize data to evaluate situations, make strategic recommendations, and mitigate risks.
Standardize reporting mechanisms to ensure clarity of results and customer satisfaction.
Manage cross-functional projects to improve alignment, remove barriers, and identify synergy opportunities.
Collaborate with various teams to leverage enterprise systems effectively.
Support sales presentations and new business development opportunities.
Utilize exceptional communication skills to develop impactful presentations for the C-Suite.
Demonstrate project management expertise (PMP preferred). - Drive results and focus on outcomes.
Effectively manage conflicts and escalations.
Utilize computer proficiency, especially in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel.
Critical Skills / Experience
10+ years experience in Account Management, including leading an Account Team working with high profile clients
Experience working with large heath care/pharmaceutical institutions
Contract negotiation and administration
Strong financial and pricing acumen
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated ability to use Lean / six sigma methodology to solve complex problems
Ability to develop effective and impactful presentations to "C-Suite"
Project management (PMP preferred)
Ability to effectively manage conflict and escalations
Ability to travel 20%
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Preferred industry experience: Third Party Logistics, Specialty Pharmacy, Drug distribution, PBM, Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing
ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred)
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite including intermediate Excel
Ability to work independently as well collaboratively in a team environment
Education
4-year degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience (Required)

Our Base Pay Range for this position
$136,200 - $227,000
