Current Need:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. Our ideal candidate will be located within an hour of Richmond, VA.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible to lead a professional sales team consisting of 15 - 20 individuals including Inside Sales Account Managers and Business Development Specialists. Manage sales activity to retain and grow assigned customer base. Execute customer retention initiatives through customer contracts. Execute "bundled product strategies" to capture new office opening opportunities. Work directly with key customers, vendors, and affiliations to exceed revenue, profit, and retention objectives. Recruit, train, motivate, and hold accountable a high caliber sales staff. Utilize the company's online ordering technology to reduce cost of order processing and create a competitive advantage.
Hybrid Remote: All Inside Sales Managers participate in training for new team members, and manage weekly team meetings in the Richmond office.
Essential Functions:
Provide leadership and clear direction to a team of inside sales professionals. Provide guidance and tactical involvement in all aspects of the sales process on a daily basis.
Set clear productivity standards, contact objectives, and daily core business expectation to ensure attainment of revenue and gross profit results and customer retention goals. Measure, track, and report progress toward becoming a primary supplier within the assigned customer base.
Coach/mentor and train staff on effective inside salestechniques through structured education and development initiatives as well as effective role play.
Facilitate communication between the sales team and support departments. Identify areas that require improvement and clearly articulate the issues so as to receive corporate assistance.
Provide accurate forecasts on a monthly basis. Hold sales team accountable for forecasting accuracy.
Coordinate the resolution of account issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and sales growth.
Support company-wide marketing and sales initiatives by implemented organized call campaigns and providing results to management, providing industry market and product trends, competitive analysis and customer feedback.
Minimum Requirements:
8+ years professional experience
0-2 years of supervisory experience
Critical Skills:
5+ years experience in a b2b sales setting
Demonstrated leadership skills
Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals
Experience developing and managing a team
Ability to navigate in a matrix environment and build collaboration
Strong strategic ability
Strong financial acumen
Additional Skills:
2+ years of Inside Sales management experience strongly desired
CRM and ERP experience in Salesforce.com and CPQ
Sales coaching and skill development
Strong interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
Demonstrated creativity, problem solving ability, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Education:
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience, MBA Preferred
Travel: 20% Travel necessary for annual National Sales Conference

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$82,400 - $137,400
Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
