Position summary

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysts are hired onto the European Economics Research team where they remain for the duration of their program.

As part of the internship, you will:

  • Work closely with the economists on the team, helping them to cover Euro area economies, and assist them with daily tasks as well as longer-term projects;

  • Assist with maintaining and improving the analytical tools used by the team for forecasts;

  • Provide support on client requests including updating charts and tables, as well as presentations;

  • Work primarily with macroeconomic data, but also financial data;

  • Contribute to quantitative analyses and research publications on the back of economic data releases and policy events;

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a masters' degree in economics, finance, econometrics, mathematics, statistics, social sciences or any related field or are close to completion;

  • You have an interest in macroeconomics, particularly with a focus on the euro area;

  • You have strong analytical and numerical skills that put you at ease with macroeconomic or financial market data.

  • You have experience and a sound knowledge of a programming language, in particular related to data manipulation and econometric analysis.

  • You are results-driven, and perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
