t Program is a 10- 12 week program beginning in Summer and will be placed into either the Application Development, Cybersecurity or Enterprise Engineering team. This program is designed to offer a real-world, project-based experience of what it's like to be a technologist for a top financial Firm.
Training Program
Summer Analysts begin with a one-day orientation where they are introduced to the Firm's businesses and learn what it is like to be an employee at Morgan Stanley, followed by direct placement into their teams. In addition to working on a live project, program highlights include senior management networking events, technical demonstrations, team-building opportunities and participation in the Firm's community service initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Summer Analyst, you will be placed into one of the following teams. Team allocations will be determined based on a mutual fit, taking into consideration your interest and skill set, business needs and management decision.
Application Development Teams (Institutional Securities Technology & IMIT): Our development teams design, develop, maintain and protect applications used by our business units to deliver first-class business in a first-class way for our clients. Developers build and make system design decisions, then integrate, test and deploy those applications into production. Developing high-performing, low-latency electronic trading systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities are just some of the projects available for developers.
Cybersecurity Teams (Cyber Data Risk & Resilience): Cybersecurity team's mission is to proactively deliver first-line defenses to manage cyber and fraud risks to our technology, operations and information through risk identification, control management and assurance. Our teams deliver programs that protect and enable the business, ensure secure delivery of services to clients, adjust to address the risks presented by an evolving threat landscape and meet regulatory expectations.
Qualifications and Skills
You are pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor's or Master's degree or Doctorate's degree with a graduation date between October 2025 and July 2026, such as major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering or other related technical majors
Excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork, analytical skills and possess can-do attitude
Comfortable in at least one programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, C#, Python)
Experience in deploying and running applications in the Cloud (GCP/AWS/AZURE) and/or Kubernetes
Good technical skills, including a strong understanding of Linux /Unix and Windows, as well as experience in object-oriented development, good comprehension of data structures, algorithms and complexity theory, strong database and scripting skills
Experience in the financial services sector is not required
Right to work in Singapore
