Within CDO, the WM Divisional Data Office manages Data Quality related issues, prioritizes key processes with data quality dependencies, identifies Critical Data Elements (CDEs) underpinning prioritized processes, and applies controls to ensure CDEs meet data quality standards.
Responsibilities
The Data Quality Control Senior Analyst will lead the day-to-day execution of the WM Data Quality Risk Reduction Roadmap, primarily managing implementation of data quality controls based on the WM Data Quality Standards, as well as tracking adherence to the Standards. This work will require solid technical understanding of how data flows between systems, assessment of existing data quality controls, managing onboarding of data quality control results to Central Data Quality Store, lead fit-for-purpose data quality control implementation by effectively partnering with WM Business and Technology partners. Additional responsibilities will include metrics production and reporting for the purposes of progress tracking, supporting efficient use of Data Quality Management Service (Centralized Data Quality Control Platform for WM), identifying improvement areas in WM Data Quality Control Standards and its implementation, and updates to both the WM and Firmwide Data Quality Governance Committees.
In addition to the above, the Data Quality Control Senior Analyst will oversee the work of one direct report.
Skills Required
4-8 years of experience in financial services and/or multi-national company
Bachelor's or higher degree in Business field with technical background or vice versa
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead effective meetings (English)
Highly motivated, self-starter with a clear ownership mindset and ability to appropriately challenge assumptions
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven track record of project prioritization, execution and risk management
Sound judgment and ability to escalate project risks and issues
Experience with data pipelines or writing SQL or managing data projects
Strong relationship management skills in order to successfully coordinate across various Business and Technology functions and partners
Team player who is results oriented, self-motivated, and able to act on own initiative; able to lead and influence without direct authority
Robust problem-solving skills and strong work ethic
Ability to clearly present ideas and project status to business stakeholders
Experience in data analysis and report building
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data catalog system (e.g. Collibra)
Experience defining and implementing data quality controls
Experience managing direct reports
