EquityZen is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the work of our growing Sales team.

    What you'll do in the role:

    • Manage Infrastructure: Deploy and manage applications running on AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.

    • Optimize Tooling: Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and other core infrastructure tooling.

    • Lead Security Operations: Own the investigation and response to security incidents and maintain a comprehensive playbook for future readiness.

    • Integrate Security: Collaborate directly with engineers to weave security into the development and testing phases of the SDLC.

    • Performance Tuning: Collect and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in capacity planning and performance optimization.

    • Build Redundancy: Act as a critical second pillar for the DevSecOps team, reducing "single point of failure" risks and helping to prevent team burnout.

    • Drive Innovation: Introduce meaningful improvements to the end-user experience and internal business workflows through modern DevSecOps practices.

    What you'll bring to the role:

    • Experienced Cloud Architect: You have at least 3-12 years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and contributing to AWS and Kubernetes environments.

    • Security-First Mindset: You are proficient in implementing security measures like firewalls, antivirus software, encryption methods, and access controls to protect complex networks.

    • Local to NYC: You are based in (or willing to relocate to) the NYC Metro area. You value in-person collaboration and are energized by the high-touch, fast-paced nature of New York market hours.

    • Collaborative Problem Solver: You enjoy working alongside Product Managers and Business Stakeholders to ideate and design infrastructure solutions that serve both clients and internal teams.

    • Agile & Innovative: You have a knack for rapid prototyping and enjoy introducing improvements to the tech stack via proof-of-concepts.

    • Clear Communicator: You take pride in documenting processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure team redundancy and clarity.

    Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $150,000 for Associate and $120,000 and $165,000 for Director per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
