Responsibilities
Formulate the Enterprise AI strategy as part of a cross-functional team, emphasizing design thinking and creative innovation
Outline opportunities for the greatest member value or improvement to member experience from AI innovation
Shape the enterprise-wide generative AI strategy, cultivating a transformative roadmap and strategic program
Align member-centric strategic initiatives across Navy Federal to advancements in AI to dive exceptional member experiences
Partner to assess and integrate external AI tools and platforms and complete POCs and pilots
Foster collaboration among diverse teams to identify innovative opportunities within the realm of AI, aligning member benefits, business objectives, and technological innovation
Perform thorough analyses of our data ecosystem, unearthing valuable insights and potential avenues for AI-powered enhancements
Champion the incorporation of ethical AI principles and strict adherence to data privacy regulations throughout the entire AI life cycle
Articulate intricate AI concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders, utilizing compelling presentations and documentation that captivate and inform
Offer continuous support and direction throughout implementation phases, adeptly tackling any hurdles that may arise
Partner across the enterprise to develop and refine enterprise AI guidelines
Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure that AI initiatives comply with all relevant data protection and privacy regulations, fostering trust and safeguarding member information
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including model risk management experts, to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with AI implementations
Leverage design thinking principles to drive innovative approaches innovation within AI initiatives, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and learning
Remain at the forefront of AI advancements, industry trends, and optimal practices, consistently enhancing our AI initiatives to elevate member experiences and drive sustained growth
Qualifications
MBA and/or related degree or qualifications in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Strategy, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Expert knowledge of AI/ML industry and evolving new advances in the field (e.g. Generative AI, Prompt Engineering)
Expert experience in creating strategy for large scale cross-enterprise initiatives
Extensive experience in a lead capacity in technology research, strategy, and implementation in the areas of AI, MLOps, machine learning, digital services, product innovation, digital transformation, innovation management, and strategy development
Extensive experience in creating strategic and/or technology roadmaps
Expert experience in design thinking and innovation frameworks
Advanced knowledge of data architecture and technology solutions
Advanced knowledge of AI governance practices, including Ethical AI
Advanced knowledge of change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
Ability to work as 'project driver' working effectively through indirect resources and leadership levels to achieve objectives
Advanced knowledge of change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
Expert ability to communicate effectively about AI with a broad range of audiences, from sophisticated technical resources to those with little or no technical background
Extensive experience in delivering creative solutions by leveraging knowledge of the financial services industry and technology trends
Advanced knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products and services
Advanced skill to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Expert skill to influence and guide strategic thinking as a trusted advisor
Expert critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
Expert skill identifying and analyzing business requirements and recommending solutions
Expert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
Expert verbal, interpersonal and written communications skills, including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills
