    Position summary

    facilitate the attainment of operational objectives

    • Direct functional managers to conduct periodic reviews of existing systems, products, and procedures

    • Anticipate internal and/or external business challenges including regulatory; recommend process, product, or service enhancements

    • Ensure the internal controls and procedures are being built in line with technical requirements, risk tolerance and group standards

    • Identify areas of improvement; determine solutions; implement enhancements/changes to improve operations, standards, and results

    • Establish and monitor operational risks to ensure adequate controls are deployed and followed

    • Serve as key advisor to SVP, Digital Payments and corporate executive management in determining operational infrastructure for the Digital Payments branch; including staffing and budget considerations

    • Serve as subject matter expert regarding business functions, systems, policies and/or procedures

    • Serve as strategic advisor to senior management

    • Contribute to a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, communicating knowledge and business processes to other business units

    • Provide overall leadership to large organizational projects or programs

    • Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)

    • Interact effectively with managers and/or executive management

    • Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines

    • Stay informed of business environment, financial services, and associated trends to ensure competitive business conditions and newest developments are incorporated

    • Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities:

      • Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees
      • Establish performance goals and priorities
      • Prepare, conduct, and review performance appraisals
      • Develop, mentor and counsel staff
      • Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan (AFP)
      • Ensure section/branch goals and objectives align with division/department strategy
      • Ensure efficiency of operations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Experience in leading, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling a corporate level business operation

    • Significant experience with change management processes that demonstrate skills in producing results and achieving objectives consistent with the strategic objectives of an organization

    • Ability to develop strategies to address highly complex and sensitive business issues

    • Ability to establish effective policies and procedures

    • Significant experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors

    • Significant experience demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems

    • Significant experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals

    • Significant experience supervising and leading professional employees

    • Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills

    • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    • Advanced skill in results-oriented leadership in a challenging environment

    • Expert skill leading with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence

    • Advanced skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes

    • Expert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

    Desired Qualifications

    • Significant experience in the Financial Services Industry

    • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations, and organizational objectives

    • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
