Responsibilities
Monitor and review new and existing regulations and legislation to ensure compliance
Ensure full compliance of all applicable regulatory organizations and NFFG
Recommend policy and procedural changes to ensure compliance
Prepare ad hoc and required industry and regulatory reports including audit inquires in compliance with internal and external regulations
Serve as liaison and manages communications with internal and external auditors with regards to processes, procedures, key controls and system controls
Act as site resource to resolve compliance related issues generated from transaction activities
Collaborate with Training Instructors to develop/monitor compliance training programs and material in accordance with compliance policies and procedures
Assess and review work performed by staff to determine problem areas; may recommend to management the need for additional training
Communicate changes in related industry developments and impacted organizational changes to field employees
Review and advise on risk determination and compliance impact of new or revised corporate initiatives
Monitor company and individual activities for compliance; identify and resolve non-compliance issues
Prepare regulatory filings, including responses to regulatory inquiries
Conduct in-house reviews (internal audit) to test compliance policies and procedures and initiate any requisite follow up action
Analyze reports and regulatory updates, proposals and/or recommendations for senior management to enhance and improve processes
Perform other related duties as assigned or appropriate
Qualifications
Experience in a compliance position in the financial services industry
Experience in managing and maintaining an effective, ongoing compliance program
Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices
Experience in member/customer service operations to include understanding of effective member/customer service philosophy
FINRA principal registration Series 24
FINRA registrations Series 7,and NASAA Series 63 and 65 or Series 66 and applicable state life/health insurance licenses
Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Effective database and presentation software skills
Advanced skill verbal and written communication skills
Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Effective skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Desired Qualifications
Advanced Degree in Finance, Business/Management, Legal or related field
Familiarity with Navy Federal objectives, functions and policies
CRCP, IACCP and/or CSCP Certification
FINRA principal registration Series 53
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
