    Position summary

    Responsibilities

    • Design/develop/implement/optimize/maintain:

      • Data ingestion to Pega, ETL, data extraction and archival strategies
      • Dataflows, datasets, data page, user interfaces, job schedulers and report definition in Pega using Cloud technologies (AWS, ADLS) and write SQL queries as required
      • Data models aligned with the application requirements
      • Data quality checks, validation logic, and transformation rules
      • Reusable Pega rules following best practices, guardrails, and coding standards.
      • Custom systems integration solution components as dictated by business requirements
    • Assist in identifying and fixing bugs, troubleshooting, providing technical support during development and testing phases

    • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring technical problems

    • Create and maintain APIs between Pega and other services/applications

    • Certified Pega System Architect with experience developing custom solutions in Dev Studio

    • Collaborate with business and system architects to support ingestion, decisioning and case management

    • Coordinate availability and performance monitoring activities and execution of scheduled maintenance activities

    • Create reports and dashboards using report definition rules

    • Experienced in programming languages (Java, etc.) and REST APIs (MuleSoft or similar) to process data

    • Write test cases and perform extensive peer testing

    • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies

    • Support testing in different environments, using different Pega's debugging tools

    • Maintain detailed and summarized documentation for implemented rules and solutions in all environments

    • Assist DevOps or release management in packaging and deploying Pega applications

    • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support

    • Support and coordinate recovery operations in the event of operational failure

    • Ensure the security and integrity of solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices

    • Ensure compliance with corporate Incident, Problem and Change Management Practices, standards and procedures

    • Build and maintain effective relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)

    • Ensure clear, concise and effective communication of material

    • Flexible to on-call rotation needs, open to work in shifts including weekend coverage as per needs

    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/ Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

    • Pega Certified System Architect

    • 2+ years supporting Pega application (specifically working in Pega Dev Studio) outside of Case Management

    • Hands-on experience with Pega 8.x, Database (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, etc.); using dataflows, datasets, data page, user interface, job scheduler and report definition in Pega; Cloud technologies (AWS, ADLS)

    • Knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and PRPC design and implementation

    • Experience with data ingestion (for different file types), extraction, retrieval, and processing within Pega applications

    • Experience with services and connectors/APIs

    • Experience in understanding existing data models and creating new data models

    • Knowledge of Pega Application packaging, deployment, Pega DevOps, security, rulesets, portals, reports, and other Pega OOTB tools

    • Demonstrates change management and/or excellent communication skills

    • Experience with PDC and server monitoring and agents monitoring

    • Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience analyzing log files and reports from application sources

    • 5+ years supporting Pega applications

    • Certified Pega Senior System Architect

    • Pega Cloud experience

    • Experience on all Pega products including Deployment Manager and CDH

    • Extensive debugging skills in PRPC using tracer, clipboard, and rules inspector

    • Good understanding of SQL

    • Experience training junior team members on Pega application and incidents
