Work closely with clients as a Trusted Advisor to develop materials that meet/exceed their needs and expectations and comply with branding, trademark and other company and industry standards
Conduct research, conceptualize and develop several strong, persuasive ideas that address the goals and purpose of the credit union
Serve as creative resource and point of contact for management on design and branding standards, vendor selection and production methods and timelines
Present creative concepts to management for complex and/or extended communication campaigns
Create and implement designs for projects Broad scope
Lead or participate in cross-departmental project teams to enhance and develop products/services and plan/implement marketing campaigns
Assist with compiling reports and/or production statistics
Provide analysis recommendations and help influence decisions by senior department leadership
Incorporate and leverage best industry practices while maintaining alignment with Navy Federal goals and capabilities
Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals
Serve as mentor/trainer and provide guidance and assistance to team members
Assist the supervisor with on-boarding and initial training of new team members
Act as supervisor/manager in the incumbent's absence
Assign projects to team, in consultation with Supervisor
May provide photographic support for internal events/activities
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Extensive experience using design programs, creating print and online collateral for Employee Communication campaigns
Expert knowledge of design principles, design development standards, techniques and methodologies and ability to apply them
Expert knowledge of design fundamentals such as color theory, typography and composition
Extensive experience in interactive design, visual design and industry standards
Extensive experience applying new programs and technologies to design and communication challenges
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
Extensive experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
Extensive experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
Extensive experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
Significant experience in leading, guiding and mentoring others
Expert skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, or the equivalent combination of experience, education and training
Desired Qualifications
Experience with mainstream InDesign desktop publishing programs and other Adobe Creative Suite programs including motion graphics and multimedia
Working knowledge of Navy Federal Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs
Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
Proven track record of creating compelling, on-brand visual content across digital and print mediums, including social media, websites, job postings, recruitment collateral, and internal communications.
Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other industry-standard tools.
Strong ability to translate employer brand values, culture, and messaging into visually appealing and impactful designs.
Collaborative mindset, working closely with talent acquisition, marketing, HR, and external vendors to ensure alignment on design and brand standards.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to edit and proof designs for accuracy and consistency.
Familiarity with employer branding trends, recruitment marketing best practices, and the use of digital design in attracting talent.
