We help Digital make data-driven investment decisions around balancing a nimble technology-based member experience today with a runway for massive multi-year strategies that will help Navy Federal advance beyond legacy systems and practices to become even more scalable, adaptable, and member centric as it continues the rapid growth it has seen in recent years.
The Summer Associate Graduate Intern will report to leadership that is located at the San Diego, CA campus. The team itself is spread across three of Navy Federal's campuses (Vienna, Pensacola, and San Diego). Project responsibilities may focus on strategies around industry analysis, internal product management best practices, and member behavior. An ideal candidate will have an interest in bringing together recommendations that holistically consider the competitive environment, organizational design, and the details of how the underlying technology works.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2026 and ending in August 2026. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.
Responsibilities
Assess the competitive landscape and emerging financial technology players to identify best practices, shifting trends, and areas of opportunity
Analyze portfolio metrics to understand, predict and identify opportunities to influence prioritization of the Digital Portfolio
Develop recommendations for strategic initiatives or program changes to products the organization could/should pursue based on findings, support recommendations with data and empirical evidence, and develop a roadmap or action plan as applicable
Develop and present proposal on findings from analysis and research to management up to and including senior executives
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or other related degree
Research, analysis, and data manipulation experience
Strategic framework reference, creation, and application experience
Communication and presentation skills
Comfort with telling stories with data
Preferred Skills
Technology strategy, development, or product management experience or coursework
Working knowledge of Agile or DevSecOps development practices
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM ET
