cal and other site emergencies; ensure staging area is established for first responders
Oversee special events including crowd and traffic control functions
Provide support and guidance to other sections within Security as well as to other business units (e.g., reporting maintenance issues, providing escorts, etc.)
Ensure that work quality, work methods, procedures and processes meet business goals and standards of member service
Prepare standard and ad hoc reports and data summaries on section/branch performance
Support projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
Develop and recommend new programs to enhance the performance and efficiency of Security Force operations
Ensure that required equipment is purchased and distributed to staff
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and NFCU policies and procedures
Oversee shredding and destruction of confidential documents
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Managing critical incidents
Advanced knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
Prior experience in threat assessments
Significant experience in law enforcement or private corporate security operations
Significant experience leading and/or supervising a security force operation, preferably in a large financial institution
Advanced knowledge of physical security functions, systems, processes and procedures
Working knowledge of physical security industry best practices
Significant experience supervising and/or leading employees
Significant experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders and vendors
Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR/AED Certifications
Effective skill summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships
Effective skill using innovative thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision making process
Advanced skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully
Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
Advanced skill maintaining composure in a stressful and changing environment
Advanced experience teaching and practicing de-escalation
Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Advanced database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills
Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Desired Qualifications
Unarmed or Armed Security Guard/Officer Certification
Experience in emergency operations
Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal policies, procedures, products, and services
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM
