    • Javascript, NodeJS

    • Kubernetes

    • AWS terraforming

    • Experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, and Glue.

    • Github or gitlab

    • Previous experience in the Financial Services sector (investments, insurance, banking, payroll systems)

    Milestones

    • Within first month, while working with other lead engineers and managers, be able to jump head-first into new applications and ask the appropriate questions / do the appropriate research to identify the general functions and behaviors of the system. Begin contributing to on one business epic's design under the guidance of another lead engineer.

    • Within first 3 months, have proficient knowledge of the baseline applications and be able to take the reins on the design/architecture of a feature with minimal assistance from other lead engineers on the team.

    • Within first 6 months, be able to navigate the full stack of the applications and supporting components, contributing directly to engineering/architecture discussions that affect the current and future state of the applications. Essentially, contributing to the team at your full capacity.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Work with Principal Architects and Horizontal Engineering to design systems for development teams to build.

    • Implements holistic solutions utilizing working relationships across the enterprise.

    • Designs, organizes, and executes high impact solutions across teams both within and outside their division.

    • Establishes, aggregates, and shares enterprise standards and best practices.

    • Mentors and guides junior engineers within respective division.

    • Ensures production stability, monitoring, and root cause analysis is executed for their products.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

    • 6-8 years of professional experience required.

    • 5-8+ years of experience leading teams using modern engineering tools, languages, and practices.

    • Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions.

    • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using agile methods.

    • Expert for the organization in one or more technologies: [insert as applicable when posting].

    • Successfully deals with ambiguity.

    • Recognized as the go-to expert within the division or department.

    • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.

    • Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture.

    Pay Range - Start:

    $123,480.00

    Pay Range - End:

    $229,320.00

    Geographic Specific Pay Structure:

    220 - Structure 110: 135,800.00 USD - 252,200.00 USD

    220 - Structure 115: 142,030.00 USD - 263,770.00 USD
