    Position summary

    Consumer Insights on team structure, staffing, and budget needs and creative project prioritization. Partners with various marketing team members on implementing department-wide workflow improvements to drive efficiency (i.e. DARCI, Initiative Tracking). Keeps projects on track by offering a deep knowledge of Northwestern Mutual (NM) products, a strategic approach and logistical practicality that not only keeps projects moving but makes sure that they are on strategy as well as being delivered on time and on budget.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Leadership: Leads a team of creative producers, spanning Marketing, Communications, and other supported departments (i.e. Field Events, D&I), and is responsible for managing performance and development.

    • Strategy Planning: Works with senior leadership and subject area leads to develop and implement processes, workflows, team structure that support team- and department-wide objectives & strategic priorities.

    • Relationship Management: Manages collaborator relationships through strategic partnership; and executional excellence. Maintains relationships with external vendors and agencies.

    • Budget Management: Oversees program budgets; allocates resources; manages contract staff within a specific budget.

    • Interaction with senior leadership: Communicates and works effectively with senior leadership**.**

    • Award Submissions: Plan for creative awards throughout the year.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, master's preferred.

    • Nine or more years of previous experience including experience in management, and a vast experience in all forms of production, from digital development to video production.

    • Agency experience as strategic/account planner a plus.

    • Enterprise view that goes beyond creative and even marketing and helps to build process of coordination among various verticals to broaden the impact of marketing initiatives.

    • Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of NM's products and how they exist within the broader eco-system and a deep understanding of creative strategy, knowledge of operations, including planning and budget management.

    • Management: Ability to manage people engaged in managing complex projects. Must be able to effectively delegate.

    • Vast experience in a variety of different medias and channels: This team works on a huge variety of different types of projects and the Senior Director needs to be able to draw on practical experience in order to inform decisions and guidance.

    • A desire for impact: A desire to have a bigger impact on the culture of the department and the transformation of the company.

    Compensation Range:

    Pay Range - Start:

    $107,730.00

    Pay Range - End:

    $200,070.00
