Throughout the minimum 12-week internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business. We're looking for students pursuing a PhD degree within a relevant or related field.

Potential Research Areas for Internships Include:

Autonomous Vehicles

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: Vehicle/Robot Autonomy.

Graphics

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: Neural Rendering, Graphics, Generative Modeling, Large Language Models, Human Behavior Understanding, Digital Human Creation, Image Based Modeling/Rendering, 3D Computer Vision

Computer Vision and Deep Learning

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: Post-Training Model Optimization (Pruning, Quantization, NAS), Efficient Architecture Design, Adaptive/Dynamic Inference, Resource-Efficient Training and Finetuning

Generative AI

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: Foundation Models, Image Generation, Video Generation, 3D Generation, Audio Generation, Diffusion Models, Multimodality, Video Understanding.

Robotics

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: Robot Manipulation, Robot Control, 3D Computer Vision, Physics-Based Simulation, Human-Robot Interaction, Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, Sim-To-Real Learning of Robotic Policies, End-to-End Learning of Perception and Controls, and Agent Learning.

Programming Systems

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: Programming Systems, Distributed Computing, Parallel Computing, Large Language Models, EDA/VLSI, Operating Systems, Compilers, and/or HPC.

Computer Architecture

  • Research and/or internship experience related to the following areas could be required: ASIC and VLSI Design Techniques, Machine Learning Accelerator Approaches, Novel Digital VLSI Circuits, Model Compression, Networking Architecture, Hardware-Software Co-Design.

Hardware

  • Research and/or internship experience in one or more area of High-Performance Circuit Design: PLLs and Clocking, SerDES and High-Speed Signaling, Photonics, SRAMs, Power Delivery/Regulation, Security Circuits, and High-Speed Logic.

What we need to see:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD degree within Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Background in research with publications from top conferences.

  • Depending on the internship role, prior experience or knowledge requirements could include the following programming skills and technologies: Python, C, C++, HLSL, CUDA, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Perl, Cadence, Synopsys, HFSS

The hourly rate for our interns is 30 USD - 90 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
You will also be eligible for Intern benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
