    Position summary

    h People Services Center and Total Rewards Center on an as needed basis to perform human resources functions for defined client groups.**

    • Serves as an advocate for the employee, management, and the Company by being available to meet with employees to address concerns, explain HR policies/practices, and mediate differences between employees, leads and managers.

    • Provides advice and counsel in the use of corrective actions to address job performance and other behavioral issues.

    • Demonstrates ability to effectively interface with external and internal legal entities to resolve employee disputes and concerns.

    • Provides counsel and fosters a partnership with hiring managers to secure the best talent for PJM.

    • Advocates for the recruitment, development and promotions of diverse employees.

    • Ensures that all leadership development and succession planning practices have as a key component the identification, advancement, and sponsorship of diverse employees at all levels of PJM.

    • Supports the competency development process at PJM - working with Korn Ferry and various vendors

    • Partners with training resources to ensure appropriate employee and leadership development and planning.

    • Makes decisions and takes actions to recommend changes to HR practices and policies.

    • Monitors trends in employee relations, learning and recruiting.

    • Participates in developing processes for assessing organizational strengths and susceptibilities and for recommending organizational solutions.

    • Partners in the development of leaders/teams through organization-wide change interventions.

    • Partners with management to identify performance needs and design interventions to close gaps.

    • Partners with Total Rewards Center to implement and execute compensation and benefit strategies.

    • Provides counseling and coaching to all levels of the organization to ensure Diversity and Work/Life initiatives are effectively integrated with strategic business objectives.

    • Responsible for assigned department and company-wide projects.

    • Serves in a lead role in executing organization-wide initiatives.

    • Serves in a project management role capacity for key initiatives.

    • Responsible for data accuracy as well as analytical capabilities. Will need to utilize data to tell the HR story of PJM.

    Characteristics & Qualifications:

    Required:

    • BA degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or equivalent work experience

    • At least 5-10 years of experience in at least 4 areas: change management, , employee relations, internal consulting, leadership development, operational metrics, operational human resources, recruiting & talent acquisition and workforce planning.

    • Good listening skills (actively and with intent)

    • Strong communications skills (written and verbal)

    • Presentation skills (in small groups or large meetings)

    • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail

    • Ability to visualize and solve complex problems

    • Experience in competency-based assessment and selection

    • Experience in supporting diverse business lines

    • Experience working in a fast paced HR environment as a strategic Business Partner

    Preferred:

    • MBA or MA in Leadership
