s responsible for understanding business needs related to FERC Order implementation, proposing data-driven solutions, facilitating communication, and ensuring that projects deliver value to the business. Their role is both strategic and tactical, requiring a mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.**
Essential Functions:
Assisting in implementation lead activities, including tracking project progress, timelines, and risks. Supporting business case development for new implementations or initiatives.
Analysis of high-impacted business project to define objectives, scope, and deliverables in support of the project team.
Collaborating with stakeholders (business users, product owners, managers) to identify and define business needs and objectives.
Eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements. Analyzing current business processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Creating process models, workflow diagrams, and other visual representations of business processes.
Documenting business requirements, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications related to FERC Order implementations.
Serving as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams. Communicating requirements clearly to development teams and ensuring alignment on project objectives.
Understand the impact of business requirements for related NERC, FERC, Operating Agreement, other compliance entities for the divisions that are supported. Documenting the requirements matrix to show adherence.
Identify implementation performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to optimize processes. Analyzing performance metrics and user feedback to recommend process improvements or system enhancements.
Provide templates of reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
Develop and maintain customer focused relationships while ensuring proper controls are applied including following processes and standards.
Develop content and participate in the monthly BA meeting that provides insight to the rest of the BAs around best practices, new support tools, changes to guidelines and processes, etc.
Supporting the implementation of business process changes, including communicating changes to stakeholders and ensuring proper training. Identifying risks and helping to mitigate them during the change process.
Ensure all business analysis activities support the broader strategic goals of the organization.
Stays up to date on industry trends, methodologies, and best practices to continually enhance the effectiveness of business analysts.
Provide support to all BAs as needed to ensure a high quality of business support.
May be engaged in some of the stakeholders process.
Characteristics & Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree, Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years of experience Business Analyst on projects or initiatives
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Experience using verbal and written communications skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers
Experience documenting and improving business processes
Ability to develop strong relationships with multiple departments and divisions
Ability to work in a team environment as a team member or as team leader
Ability to work independently and to train, guide or assist others to perform complex assignments
Ability to work with, and gain the confidence of, parties with frequently conflicting interests to develop solutions to complex concerns
Ability to understand business needs, while establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence
