Facilitating pre-onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable.
Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.
HRIS (Nitro) processing errors: Hire, Change Job, Term.
Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.
Handles employment related inquires for applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law.
Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
Strong ability to build business acumen to drive effective HR collaboration
Strong ability to manage change and guide others through it
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Apple iWork Suite
Proficient with the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
3 - 5 Year experience preferred
Prior related HR experience preferred
REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
SHRM CP/SCP Preferred
